Traffic delays are expected as late night construction work begins on Ford Dr. from North Service Rd. East to Kingsway Dr. in Oakville.

Halton Region began work on resurfacing the 25-km stretch of Ford Drive in May (see map below) and night work in the area was expected to be completed between May 1 and 19.

Due to unforeseen circumstances, the contractor was unable to start the night work on the set date and it has now been rescheduled for weeknights, including Friday nights, from June 12 to June 23, 2023 from 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Access to the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) ramps will be intermittently closed during the 12-day period. In coordination with MTO, advance on-road signage will be installed on Ford Drive and the QEW.

Motorists should expect delays when travelling through the area.

An effort will be made to minimize noise and complete the construction work as quickly as possible to minimize the impact of the night work.

Emergency vehicle access and local access to the area will be maintained at all times.

The Region annually resurfaces various roadways in Oakville, Burlington, Milton and Halton Hills to maintain and extend the life cycle of its roadways.

Any question regarding the construction work can be directed to Alyson King, Construction Ambassador, by emailing here or calling 311.
