Two Brampton men charged in connection to $12 M drug bust

A lengthy drug investigation carried out by numerous law enforcement agencies in Ontario a led to the seizure of almost $12 million worth of cocaine and the arrest of two men from Brampton.
According to the Brantford Police Service, the investigation was launched in early 2021, and with the support of the Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA), resulted in the identification of a group of individuals believed to be involved in the import of cocaine into Canada.
The group is then said to have been involved in trafficking the imported cocaine throughout Brantford and surrounding regions.
As a result of the investigation, a tractor-trailer belonging to a company based out of Milton was intercepted by the CBSA.
The vehicle was attempting to enter back into Canada from the U.S. using the Ambassador Bridge in Windsor in the early morning hours of Dec. 4, 2021.
Police say a search of the trailer yielded a seizure of approximately 112 kilograms of cocaine, having a street value of approximately $12 million.

As a result of the joint investigation two accused Jugrajpreet Singh and Amrinder Singh, both 22 years of age, from Brampton have been charged with possession for the purpose to traffic and importation of cocaine under the controlled drugs and substances act.
