Still on the hunt for that special gift for the upcoming Mother’s Day or feel like splurging on something for yourself? You may want to stop by Oakville Place this weekend for their two-day event, featuring many different vendors selling unique items!

The annual International Cultural Market presented by Rose Events is back and will be running from April 29 – April 30 this year.

Several local vendors (including many who have set up their pop-up shops at previous events) will be returning.

Compared to the popular every day kind-of-stores — the market offers pieces from different countries making it more of a cultural and historical experience for visitors.

Some items up for sale include handmade jewelry, rugs, woven bags, tapestries, paintings, hand crafted, soaps, painted throw pillows, mosaic lamps, uniquely shaped vases, snacks from many different nations and other artisan products.

Located at 240 Leighland Ave the market will be held inside of the Oakville Shopping Centre on the lower level of the mall.

You won’t have to worry about paying for parking as there will be plenty available in the parking lots of Oakville Place.

Admission is also free, so you can browse or shop as long as you want (maybe take a break in-between) and then go back for a second round.

The event is set to operate during the regular (weekend) shopping centre hours:

  • Saturday — 9:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Sunday — 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
