Two Family Outdoor Movie Nights in Milton

Get your family and friends under the stars in Halton Hills for a double-header this Labour Day long weekend!

Movie-lovers are in for two straight days of family fun, starting with a screening of Beauty and the Beast on Friday, Sept. 1 at Kelso Conservation Area.

The popular outdoor movie series runs every Friday night in August until Labour Day.

The Aug. 11 opening night showing of Trolls was nixed due to inclement weather … here’s the good news: it’s been rescheduled for Saturday, Sept. 2.

Admission to the movie is included with the regular gate fees, while Halton Parks members can just show their pass to get in.

The event is running from 8 p.m. until 10:30 p.m. at 5234 Kelso Rd.

Remember to pack the lawn chairs and blankets.

If you're not the domestic type, not to worry -- Kelso staff will be selling hot dogs, popcorn, snacks and drinks.

Shows start at dusk, approximately 15 to 20 minutes after sunset, weather permitting.

Cancellation notices, likely due to weather, will be posted on the Conservation Halton site and Facebook and Twitter accounts.

The site is located west of Tremaine Rd., north of Steeles Ave. and south of Hwy. 401. This 396-hectare park includes extensive forests, a dam and reservoir, as well as a popular beach.

Residents and visitors are encouraged to start the weekend with the screening -- make a day of it with a trip to Kelso and a picnic dinner, or book a campsite and spend the night.

More information on camping at Kelso can be found on the Halton Parks website.
