Two new exhibitions recently opened at the Town of Halton Hills’ Cultural Centre – just in time for March Break!

According to a recent press release, until March 31, 2019, the Helson Gallery is hosting Inside | Outside – a series of paintings completed by graduate students from the Art and Art History Program at Sheridan College and the University of Toronto, Mississauga.

The exhibit, which first opened on March 5, highlights the trends and issues being explored by the country’s next generation of artists.

This exhibit features the following eight students: Sabrina Bilic, Mackenzie Boyd, Veronika Garbowska, Yeshi Gyalpo, Sarah Pereux, Amrita Virdi, Danyi Zhang and Eleonora Zivkovic.

The Helson Gallery, as noted in the release, is located at 9 Church St., Halton Hills. The gallery is open Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays from 1 to 5 p.m. and on Thursdays from 1 to 8:30 p.m.

If that isn’t enough for you; however, also until March 31, 2019, in the Sisnett Lobby work from amateur and professional photographers is being recognized.

This exhibit, known as PhotoArt 2019, is being presented by the Halton Hills Camera Club. Many of the photographs featured in the exhibit will be available for purchase.

Both exhibits feature a wide range of artists, something that Halton Hills Mayor Rick Bonnette is proud of.

“I’m delighted that the Cultural Centre provides a showcase for artists at all career levels from those just starting out to seasoned professionals,” Bonnette said in a press release.

Will you be heading out to either of these exhibits?
