Santa parade Georgetown Acton
He's coming to Halton HIlls

Santa doesn’t like to play favourites when it comes to Georgetown and Acton.

That is why the visitor from the North Pole will be the guest of honour at two parades on Saturday (Nov. 18).

First off he will be taking part in the Acton Santa Claus parade which starts at 1 p.m.

Organized by the Acton Firefighters Association, this year the parade theme will be “Classic Christmas Movies” with floats and participants doing their part to recreate the magic of the silver screen.

The Action parade will start near Tim Hortons on Queen St. then travel west to Main St. then north to Knox Church.

Volunteers will accept new, unwrapped toys that will be distributed in the community. Letters to Santa will also be collected.

Free photos can also be taken with Santa at the Roxy Centre before the parade from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Then, Santa will be making his way across Halton Hills to take part in the Georgetown Lions Santa Claus Parade.

Starting at 5 p.m., this parade will travel along Guelph St. to Mill St., then onto Charles St. and will end up at the Georgetown Fairgrounds.

This is the 93rd year for the Georgetown parade which in 2023 will have the theme of “Christmas Past and Present.”

Along the parade route, the Lions Club will accept donations for the Georgetown Bread Basket and Food4Kids.
