Two-Way Streets Coming to Downtown Oakville

Big changes are coming to some Oakville streets.

According Halton Police, starting today, Oct. 23, some streets in the town are being converted from one-way streets to two-way streets.

According Halton Police, starting today, Oct. 23, some streets in the town are being converted from one-way streets to two-way streets.

These changes are happening to the following streets.

Thomas Street, Dunn Street, and George Street:

The two-way conversion from Randall Street to Lakeshore Road will also include new signage and pavements markings. Construction will be happening today and tomorrow.

Church Street:

The two-way conversion and resurfacing from Navy Street to Allan Street will also include asphalt grinding, new pavement signage and markings. Construction will be happening from Oct. 29 to Oct. 31.

Randall Street:

The two-way conversion and resurfacing from Navy Street to Douglas Street will also include asphalt grinding, new pavement and signage markings. Construction will be happening from Nov. 5 to Nov. 7

Navy Street, Dunn Street, George Street:

The two-way resurfacing on Navy Street (Randall Street to Lakeshore Road), Dunn Street (Randall Street to Church Street) and George Street will also include asphalt grinding, new pavement and marking. Construction will be happening from Nov. 12 to Nov. 14.

While construction is underway, the streets will be open to one-lane of traffic and there will be no parking allowed.
