Two youth charged after paintball incident in Acton

On April 23, 2022, at approximately 9:30 p.m., the Halton Regional Police Service (HRPS) responded to the area of the Acton Arena on Queen St. East and Tanners Dr. following reports that occupants in a vehicle were shooting paintballs at pedestrians.

Police say the vehicle left the area but returned a short time later and began shooting paintballs again, targeting people on foot.

As a result, two victims were struck by the paintballs, causing injuries.

Police were able to locate the suspect vehicle and arrested two suspects.

A 15-year-old male from Georgetown and a 16-year-old male from Halton Hills were arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Both males were released on an undertaking, according to police.

Two paintball guns, numerous paintballs and other paintball gun equipment were seized by officers.
