Uber Poised to Launch Brand New Service in Halton
Do you regularly use Uber to get from point A to point B and to get delicious restaurant food from the resto kitchen to your cozy and happily housebound tummy?
If you answered yes, you might be happy to hear that Uber might be about to launch another essential service that's also food-related.
Judging by this recent job posting on LinkedIn, Uber might be poised to get into the grocery delivery game.
According to the posting, the company is looking for the perfect candidate for its Head of Grocery Product position.
What does the role entail?
"Uber Eats is looking for a Head of Grocery Product. This role will define, build the organization and globally scale a brand new product offering which will fundamentally evolve how people purchase their groceries," the company wrote in the job posting.
The move towards grocery delivery isn't particularly surprising when you consider the fact that both Walmart and Costco are offering home delivery services to customers.
Uber has not yet formally announced plans to introduce a grocery delivery program, so no launch date is available at this time.
But where there is smoke, there's a tasty (and convenient) fire.
Currently, there is no Uber presence in Halton. Could this be the breakthrough we’ve been waiting for?
