Unique Local Dessert Arrives on Major Pizza Brand's Menu

One of my most favourite places in Halton is teaming up with Pizza Pizza for a heavenly treat.

Milton and Halton Hills’ very own Chudleigh’s Farm has partnered with Canada’s leading pizza chain to serve their signature Apple Crumble Pie, just in time for the holidays.

That’s right, it’s a sweet and savoury pie.

The uber popular third-generation farm is offering up this scratch-made dessert with freshly peeled Northern Spy apples.

Flavoured with cinnamon and topped with a sweet brown sugar and oat crumble, it may give your grandma’s pie some serious competition at the Christmas dinner table.

Chudleigh’s Apple Crumble Pie joins a variety of sweet treats featured on Pizza Pizza’s menu including its famed Funnel Cake Stix, Two-Bite Brownies and new 50th Anniversary 6-Inch Chocolate.

Pizza Pizza customers can get the signature Chudleigh’s Apple Crumble Pie with a pizza combo, or on its own for $7.99.

Keep in mind, the pie requires heating upon receipt.

Chudleigh’s Farm is also celebrating a 50th anniversary this year - they first opened their farm to the public in 1967, the same year Pizza Pizza officially opened its door (talk about #twinning).

Visiting the farm - and having an Apple Blossom, of course - is an annual ritual for thousands of people (including many Greater Toronto Area residents) who love horsing around in bales of hay and apple-picking along Regional Road 25.

Chudleigh’s does its baking in a modern 110,000 sq.-ft. bakery five minutes down the road from the family farm.

The farm has 200 full-time employees making desserts for customers across North America and beyond.
