Burlington Hydro says they have restored power to at least 115 customers with 83 still remaining in the queue, following an unplanned power outage this morning in the Brant Hills neighbourhood in Burlington.

On Saturday (Jun. 24) the company dispatched crew to access the situation.

According to  the Burlington Hydro report, the cause for the outage was a defective U/G primary — in simpler terms it was a ‘cable fault.’

As of 4 p.m. today (Jun. 25), the company has successfully restored power to 115 clients.

However, there are approximately 83 clients still affected by the outage, while crew make every effort to fix the issue.

Burlington Hydro has estimated another 8 hours until power will be fully resorted to its remaining clients which will be sometime around 12:00 a.m., (June. 26)
