UPDATE: Father Charged Following Murder of 11-Year-Old Daughter

Peel Regional Police have provided an update this afternoon with regards to the abduction and subsequent death of 11 year old Riya Rajkumar.
According to police, 41-year-old Roopesh Rajkumar was last seen with his 11 year-old daughter, Riya Rajkumar, in the area of Hurontario Street and Derry Road; Riya did not reside with him on a full-time basis. Roopesh Rajkumar was to ensure his daughter returned to be with her mother by a certain time but failed to do so.
Riya has been located deceased at a Brampton residence and her father was subsequently arrested. According to police, Roopesh Rajkumar is going to be charged with First Degree Murder.
Peel Police further confirmed the man is currently in a trauma centre in regards to a medical condition.
