UPDATE: Halton Police Searching For Suspects Following Georgetown Bank Robbery

Halton Police are searching for two suspects following a recent bank robbery in Georgetown, Halton Hills.

Halton Police are searching for two suspects following a recent bank robbery in Georgetown, Halton Hills.

According to police, shortly after 1 p.m. yesterday, Nov. 26, officers went to the Scotiabank branch located at 304 Guelph St. in Georgetown, after getting a report that the bank had just been robbed by two suspects.

Police say two suspects entered the bank and demanded money. 

An undisclosed amount of money was taken, according to police, but no weapons were seen and no injuries were reported.

Police say both suspects fled the bank on foot heading South through the plaza.

Both suspects remain outstanding.

Police are describing the first suspect as a black male in his early 20s, who was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, blue latex gloves, and a red bandana over his face. 

The second suspect is being described by police as a black male in his early 20s, who was also wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, dark coloured pants, blue latex gloves, and a blue bandana over his face. The suspect, according to police, was also carrying a bag.
