One of the three community workshops planned this month to update the public on potential land use concepts for the future Midtown project has had a change in venue.

The November 29 session scheduled for Walton United Church will now be at Trafalgar Park Community Centre (register here) on Rebecca Street.  Start time remains the same: 630 p.m.

The other two 90-minute sessions will remain unchanged:

  • Friday, November 24 at 1:30 p.m., Sheridan College, Sheridan Conference Centre, Hall D. register here
  • Tuesday, November 28 at 1:30 p.m., Iroquois Ridge Community Centre, register here

Space is limited and is first come, first served. Snacks will be offered.

Midtown Oakville is an ambitious and very long-term project that is expected to be built out over nearly 30 years, adding 30,000 residents and 1,700 jobs to the town by 2051.

Oakville is also expected to double in population in that time period. The Town has pledged to build 33,000 new homes by 2031 to meet its provincially mandated municipal housing target to get to those population numbers.
