Do you know the long history between Coca-Cola and Santa Claus?
That may be one of the questions you can ask Mr. Claus when he arrives in Burlington next Wednesday (Nov. 22) as part of the Coca-Cola Holiday Caravan.
Stopping in at Sobey’s at 1250 Brant St., visitors to the bright red truck with lights will be able to get some free Coca-Cola beverages including soft drinks and something a little warmer made with Fairlife milk such as hot chocolate or a latte.
Santa, of course, will be there to take photos with all visitors.
The Burlington visit will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
As for Santa’s appearance, back in 1931, Coke started placing ads in popular magazines. Figuring it was time for a makeover, their illustrator Haddon Sundblom created an advertisement with Santa appearing much like he is known to this day.
