A fire broke out in a garage of a detached home in Lincoln this evening, as a video shows emergency crew members working together to contain the blaze.

On Saturday (Jun. 3) shortly after 5:00 p.m., both Lincoln and Grimsby fire crews, along with Niagara police and paramedics were dispatched to a residence on Locus Lane in Lincoln where they tackled what was described as a “full-involved” garage fire with an extension to a two-storey home.

A video shows several firefighters geared up and situated at different areas of the house to help put the fire out.

One crew member stood right in front of the garage with the hose directly pointed toward the door.

A firefighter was controlling a crane as two other firefighters were standing on it near the roof of the house where the garage connects to the second story of the building. It appeared that they were trying to control the blaze and stop it from spreading to other areas of the home.

Huge white clouds of smoke could be seen rising through the roof. The plumes of smoke were so thick as it moved along through the sky it completely covered the tall trees and foliage surrounding the home.

Luckily, it was reported that no one was inside the house at the time of the fire.

Utility services were also responded to the scene to disconnect gas & hydro.
