The cold, snowy week in the Halton region is set to end with a bang as temperatures are expected to plummet Friday and into Saturday morning.

The Weather Network is calling for temperatures nearing minus-20 C with the windchill for most of the region combined with flurries.

“What’s been a cold, snowy mid-November week for southern Ontario will wrap up with more of the same,” says The Weather Network. “An Arctic front drifting south through Friday will bring bursts of snow across the region before allowing icy temperatures to return for the weekend”.

Temperatures are expected to remain frigid through November and into December.
