This year, the Civic Holiday in Burlington, Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills falls on Monday, August 1, 2022.

Here’s what will be open and closed this upcoming long weekend in Halton.


  • Some outdoor pools (call ahead to make sure)
  • Toronto Premium Outlets from 10:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.
  • Mapleview Centre from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
  • Oakville Place from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
  • Parks and most facilities (call ahead to make sure)
  • Most grocery stores
  • Some Shoppers Drug Marts
  • Select LCBO locations (call ahead to be sure)
  • Most bars and restaurants are open, but call ahead to be sure


  • Other major malls that are open:– Square One Shopping Centre (11 am to 6 pm)
    – Bramalea City Centre (11 am to 6 pm)
    – Vaughan Mills (11 am to 7 pm)
    – Sherway Gardens (10 am to 7 pm)
    – Yorkdale Shopping Centre (11 am to 6 pm)
    – Eaton Centre (11 am to 7 pm)
    – Pacific Mall
