Whitby man off to Cuba following $100,000 lotto win

A Whitby man may be headed off to Cuba after winning $100,000 on an instant Bingo scratcher ticket.
John Foster, 63, picked up a Bingo Multiplier ticket at the Rabba Fine Foods on Derry Rd. in Milton and was “shocked” when he later went to go check it. “I can’t even explain what I was feeling. This was the biggest shock of my life. I was over excited and speechless,” he told the OLG while in Toronto to pick up his winnings.
Foster immediately called his wife while in the store but, “She said, ‘I don’t believe you.’ Then she heard me speaking with OLG and she started shouting with excitement,” Foster continued.
“It’s an unbelievable feeling. I’m going to share with my wife and kids and possibly take a family trip to Cuba,” he concluded.
Instant Bingo is available for $10 a play and the top prize is $250,000. The odds of winning any prize are 1 in 3.49.
