Witnesses are being asked to come forward after a 47-year-old Toronto man was killed in a three-vehicle crash in Oakville on Tuesday.

Emergency crews were sent to Royal Windsor Dr., east of Ford Dr., at 10:26 a.m.

The SUV he was driving was heading west on Royal Windsor when it crossed the centre line, colliding with an eastbound transport truck, say Halton police.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

A third vehicle was struck, hitting a utility pole, as a result of the crash.

The road was closed for five hours as the collision reconstruction team investigated and crews cleaned up the wreckage and diesel spill.

Witnesses are asked to phone the collision reconstruction unit at 905-825-4747 ext. 5065.
