The Burlington Central Arena, which first opened in 1968, is turning 50-years-old.

And what do you normally do on birthdays? Celebrate!

This birthday is no different.

In order to mark this milestone, Burlington residents are invited to a free Tim Hortons skate at the arena on Dec. 27 from 2:30 p.m. until 5:30 p.m.

Those who come out will have the opportunity to have their picture taken on a Zamboni.

Speeches and memories will be shared starting at 3 p.m.

Cake will also be served.

This is a celebration you won’t want to miss.

The Central Arena is located at 519 Drury Lane in Burlington.
