Fire in trailer forces garbage semi-hauler off highway in Milton

A fire inside a tractor trailer kept Milton firefighters busy this morning, Monday, Mar. 18.
According to a post on X (formerly Twitter), a Laidlaw garbage truck with a full load was forced off Hwy. 401 at Guelph Line in Milton after noticing smoke coming from inside the trailer.
The OPP Highway Safety Divsion posted videos of the fire after crews pulled out the garbage and doused the flames.
No injuries were reported.
