Vaccine clinic for COVID-19 comes to Burlington

You can still take preventative steps to stop COVID-19.

Halton Healthcare will hold an immunization clinic in Burlington this week to assist you in keeping up with your shots.

The clinic will be held Friday, July 7 from 9:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at 1200 Brant St. unit A2.

Ages 6 months and older are eligible for the vaccine.

The clinic is available for walk-ins or you can also book in advance at halton.ca/COVIDvaccines.

According to Halton Healthcare,  COVID-19 vaccines are safe and effective in preventing severe illness and death from the COVID-19 virus. Here is some more information to help you make a decision on whether you need the vaccine:

Primary doses

  • Most healthy people need two doses to complete a primary series. Those who are moderately to severely immunocompromised(external link) are recommended to get a third dose to complete their primary series.
  • Note: Paediatric Pfizer for children 6 months to under 5 years of age requires three doses.
  • In most cases, doses are recommended eight weeks (56 days) after a COVID-19 infection or previous dose.
