8 farms near Mississauga for fall activities found in Milton, Brampton and Caledon

The Fall season is in full swing in Mississauga and all things seasonal are gaining popularity again. It’s time for warm drinks, haunted hayrides, corn mazes, Halloween, and of course, pumpkin picking.
Insauga.com has rounded up eight different farms near Mississauga for residents to check out and enjoy the festivities. These locations feature apple picking, market farm stores, hay rides, pumpkin patches, and corn mazes.

14800 Innis Lake Rd, Caledon East
Albion Orchards was established in 1967 and offers everything from apple picking to pumpkin hunting in the patch to cutting down your own Christmas tree in December.

There are 12 different varieties of apples available from the farm including, red delicious, royal gala, empire, and golden russet.
Albion Orchards grows many different apple varieties and although there’s usually one or more species ready at any given time, the farm cannot guarantee harvest times or quantities as the crops vary from year to year.
The trees here range in age from two years old to 50 years old. Pick-your-own apples are first-come, first-serve!
Chudleigh’s Entertainment Farm
9528 Regional Rd 25, Milton
Chudleigh’s Farm started as a small, independent family apple farm in 1967 and has grown to fill a 110,00 square foot bakery down the street in order to fulfill their baked goods orders.
The farm site offers a wide range of activities besides the usual apple picking.
Bring along the kids and watch them explore the play area with four huge slides, a tower, and hay bale jumps. Or enjoy a relaxing walk on Chudleigh’s natural trail that offers views of an open countryside.
The farm also has a wide array of friendly farm animals such as goats, chickens, pigs, sheep, alpaca, donkeys, peacocks, ducks, deer and more.

Downey’s Farm has been growing fruit for over 25 years, welcoming visitors from all over the GTA.
The farm combines agriculture, education, and fun in every visit with wagon rides, live entertainment, duck races, and more.
Downey’s Farm offers a large variety of specialty pumpkins, gourds, mini pumpkins, ornamental corn, straw bales, corn stalks and of course their famous ‘Sea of Orange’ where you will find the perfect jack-o-lantern pumpkin.

The farm store features fresh baked goods, Ontario fruits and vegetables, a large variety of jams and jellies, honey, maple syrup and preserves, giftware, locally sourced products and a of indoor Fall decor as well.
Downey’s Estate Winery is located within the farm store offering 20 different fruit wines and hard ciders produced by the farm.
7256 Bell School Line, Milton
The Hughes family has been fruit farming for six generations over 100 years. Farmer John’s parents, Leslie and Isobel Jane Hughes, purchased the farm in 1960 when their farm in Mississauga was sold for development.
At Springridge, they grow strawberries, pumpkins, and gourds, and harvest honey from 1 million bees that live in hives beside the pond.
There is a Fun Farmyard play area offered for children with tractor drawn wagon rides, farm animals, and a new and improved giant sandbox.
The apples and pumpkins are picked fresh and available daily.
Andrew’s Farm Market and Winery
9365 10 Side Rd, Milton
Established in 1980, Andrew’s Farm offers 165 scenic acres of pick your own fruits and more.
Bert and Lauraine dreamt of a farm that would attract local families to create special memories and celebrate delicious healthy food.
Over the 40 years, the farm has grown to include a winery, playground, farm animal area, and “proud to be local” farm store.
Strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, dahlias, pumpkins and squash are just a few of the delicious produce available on the farm to bring home to your table.

Carl Laidlaw Orchards was originally a mixed farm with sheep, pigs, cows, fields of wheat, turnip, corn, and always a few apple and pear trees.

It was also a dairy farm until the late 1960’s, when more orchards were planted. The pick your own business began in the 70’s and continues to flourish.
The farm now grows over 20 varieties of apples, three types of pears, and offer a simple, charming country experience for guests.
8674 Heritage Rd, Brampton
Big R’ Apple Farm is a family operated, pick your own fruits and vegetables farm that has been operating in Brampton for over 40 years.
The Kang family purchased the farm from Nick Ferri in 2013. The Kang’s are from India where their family farmed for generations in a small village in Punjab.
The farm is currently picking 10 different varieties of apples including: Royal Gala, Ginger Gold, McIntosh, Mutsu, Golden Delicious, Red Delicious, Jona Gold, Empire, Cortland and Paula Red.
7388 Guelph Line, Campbellville
Stonehaven Farms originated in Clarkson in 1904 where William D. Trenwith grew fresh produce and vegetables for local outlets. In 1957, the farm expanded and moved to Campbellville, continuing to grow fresh produce for local markets.
Six generations of Trenwiths have now been involved in growing and expanding the family farming business.
The farm prides themselves in producing quality, wholesome, fresh products with zero tolerance for pesticide presence.
The farm’s 2022 market offers local gourmet foods, homegrown squash, pie pumpkins and gourds, fresh baked goods, apple cider, various cheese types, frozen local artisan goods and homegrown, ready picked, or pick your own ‘in season’ strawberries, raspberries & pumpkins.
