April 24 Weather: Early showers clearing in the afternoon in southern Ontario

Residents of the GTA are likely in for a cloudy, wet Wednesday morning, but the good news it appears sunnier conditions are just ahead.
Cloudy conditions are on tap for the early morning with a 40 percent chance of showers, according to the forecast from Environment Canada. Things are looking much better after that with clearing expected late in the afternoon.
Winds are expected to be northwest at 30 km/h gusting to 50 km/h. A high of 9 is also expected with a UV index 4 or moderate.
The sky will be clear with north winds at 20 km/h gusting to 40 and becoming light in the evening. The low at night will be a chilly minus 2, dipping further to minus 6 overnight.
