What's open and closed Easter weekend in Oakville, Burlington, Milton

A sushi restaurant that opened just two years ago has closed down.

Despite positive reviews from diners, Chef Martin’s Sushi House at 361 Brant St. closed its doors for the last time in December.

The take-out restaurant still has two locations in Hamilton.

Chef Martin branched out to Burlington in the summer of 2021 with a menu that included a selection of salads, Nigiri and Sashimi, and various kinds of rolls and more.

Owners say that staffing levels had been an ongoing concern which was a factor in the decision to close.

However, Chef Martin continues on the scene in Hamilton and is considering its options at opening future locations, possibly a dine-in establishment and again in Burlington.

The two remaining locations can be found at 1048 King St. West in Hamilton and 53 King St. East in Stoney Creek.
