Classic rock band The Stampeders coming to Milton stage

Canadian rock legends The Stampeders will be coming to Milton next year and tickets go on sale this week.

Best known for the No. 1 hit single Sweet City Woman, the trio first got together in the mid-1960s in Calgary and have won Juno Awards for Best Single, Best Group, Best Producer and Best Composer.

Sweet City Woman launched their international career in 1971 and their second big hit was five years later, Hit The Road Jack.

They released a studio album in 1998 and a live album in 2011 and continue to tour extensively, especially in Canada.

They’re coming to FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton on May 3. Tickets go on sale Dec. 1 at noon.
