Cops think Milton vehicle fire was intentionally set, investigation underway

Halton police believe a recent fire in Milton may have been intentionally set.

Investigators from Halton police looking further into an incident where a truck caught fire in a residential driveway on Monday, Jan. 8.

Just before midnight, the Milton fire department was called to a house on Churchill Ave., where they discovered a vehicle burning in the driveway, police said.

No one was injured and the fire did not spread to nearby dwellings as it was quickly extinguished.

Police said they believe the fire was deliberately set and are investigating it as an act of arson.
