COVID-19 numbers still falling in Durham Region

COVID-19 transmission continues to decline in Durham Region, with 54 cases in the region last week – down from 74 and 86 the previous two reporting periods.

Outbreaks at local hospitals, retirement centres and long-term care homes is down to two (from three), while hospitalizations are stable at two (from one and three the previous weeks). Wastewater signals for the virus are also stable.

Influenza transmission in Durham is stable or decreasing, with 50 confirmed cases of the flu (the same as last week and down from 65 two weeks ago) and just one outbreak.
