Driver suffers life-threatening injuries in crash on Highway 401 in Whitby

One driver was taken to hospital with serious, life-threatening injuries following a crash on Highway 401 in Whitby.
The three-vehicle crash, involving a transport truck, happened around 4:30 p.m. yesterday (April 22) in the eastbound lanes of Highway 401 at Brock Street in Whitby, OPP said in a post on X.
There were no other injuries reported in the crash.
The highway was reduced to one lane for several hours yesterday.
OPP reopened the lanes around 9:30 p.m.
The investigation is continuing.
