Driver taken to hospital after collision on Oakville exit ramp

A driver of a vehicle was taken to a local hospital after a morning collision on a Highway 401 off ramp in Oakville on Monday. OPP PHOTOS

The driver of a car was transported to a local hospital with minor injuries after a collision on an exit ramp off west-bound Highway 401 Monday morning (Apr. 22) in Oakville.

OPP Highway Safety Division said an investigation is underway after the vehicle exited Highway 401 on to Highway 25 this morning and left the ramp into a ditch. Police said on X that the vehicle came to a stop near a pole at the bottom of a hill.

“The driver has been taken to a local hospital with minor injuries,” said the OPP.

OPP officers from Mississauga, the Milton Fire Service and Halton Paramedics all attended the scene of the accident.
