If you’re planning to take the GO train into Toronto this weekend from Oakville, Burlington or Hamilton, be prepared for some changes.

Trains will not be running between Aldershot and Union stations beginning late Friday night and lasting all day Saturday and Sunday.

To accommodate travellers, GO will be running buses, but only at a limited number of stations along the Lakeshore West line.

“GO train service along the Lakeshore West line will be replaced by bus services while important construction work takes place late in the evening of Friday, March 22,” said a spokesperson from Metrolinx, the company that runs GO services. “Work will continue throughout the weekend of March 23 and 24.”

Commuters will be able to catch GO buses at West Harbour, Aldershot, Burlington, Oakville and Clarkson stations.

However, there will be no GO Transit service of any kind at Appleby, Bronte, Port Credit, Long Branch, Mimico and Exhibition stations.

Trains between Niagara Falls and Aldershot will be unaffected.
