UPDATE: Police say Rand has been located safely and thanked the public for their assistance.

Halton Regional Police are reaching out to the public for their help in safely locating and bringing home a missing 20-year-old woman from Oakville.

On Thursday (Feb. 8) police say Kathleen Rand, also known as “Katie,” was last seen walking in the area of Cornwall Road and Trafalgar Road.

Investigators describe Rand as a white woman with a height of 5-foot-2 and a weight between 100 and 120 pounds.

Police have released an image of Rand along with an update stating that she currently has shoulder-length wavy blue hair.

At the time of her disappearance, police believe Rand was wearing a blue hooded sweater and black jogging pants.

Police describe Rand as vulnerable but have not provided further details, while expressing concern for her well-being.

According to Halton police, there is no 24-hour waiting period to report a missing person. If immediate safety concerns exist, individuals should call 9-1-1; otherwise, they can report a missing person to Halton Regional Police Service on their non emergency line at: 905-825-4777.

Anyone with details about Rand’s whereabouts is urged to contact the police.
