Jason Dickinson doesn’t score a lot of goals, but the Halton Hills native decided to break out today against the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Dickinson, 28, scored his first NHL hat-trick, helping lead his Chicago Blackhawks to a 4-3 victory over the Leafs in the Windy City. With only three shots on goal in the contest, Dickinson showed off his perfect aim.

Dickinson, who grew up in Georgetown, is known more for his defensive prowess on the ice, having never scored more than nine goals in a full NHL season.

The centre is in his ninth NHL season, having spent several years in Dallas, one in Vancouver and now his second in Chicago. In 378 games, he’s scored 42 goals and 112 points.
