A protest in Burlington has resulted in a fatality.
During a protest at the Fearmans Pork Plant on Harvester Road, a protester who was reportedly attempting to feed an animal inside a transport truck was struck and killed by the moving vehicle.
Halton Regional Police Service’s Collision Reconstruction Unit is currently on scene and investigating.
Due to the investigation, Harvester is closed between Appleby Line and South Service Road; drivers are instructed to find alternate routes.
