Here’s how to dispose of personal documents if you live in Oakville, Burlington, Milton, Halton Hills

If you live in Burlington, Oakville, Milton or Halton Hills and are looking to safely and securely dispose of your personal documents, the upcoming Shred Fundraiser is just for you.

Crime Stoppers of Halton is hosting the event on Saturday, May 4, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Halton police headquarters, 2485 North Service Rd. in Oakville.

The shredding is being done on-site by Blue-Pencil Information Management. Volunteers will unload your vehicle and you’ll be able to watch as your old documents are shredded, a step towards help you protect your identity.

There is no set cost for the service, although donations are accepted in all forms of payment.

All proceeds go to Crime Stoppers of Halton in order to help keep local communities safe.
