Huge Change Comes to Oakville Transit System

Using the Oakville transit system just got a whole lot easier for some residents.

Recently Oakville Transit launched a new service, Home to Hub. This is a service that picks up transit users from their home, and takes them to and from the nearest transit hub where they can then connect with the conventional transit system.

However, according to the town, the service is only available to residents in the newer communities of North Oakville and Southeast Oakville.

  • In north Oakville, the hub is at the Uptown Core Terminal.
  • In southeast Oakville, the hubs are Oakville GO station and Downtown Oakville (Church and Dunn Streets).

The Home to Hub service uses smaller capacity buses then the typical transit system. The service is available Monday to Friday from 6 to 10 a.m. and from 3 to 7 p.m.

Here's how residents can register for this service.
