Importance of cancer screening topic of Burlington healthcare session

There is still space available to attend a session on the importance of timely cancer screening.

The discussion will take place March 19 at 7 p.m. at the Burlington Central Library.

The preventive health care event is presented by the Burlington Ontario Health Team (BOHT) and the Burlington Family Health Team and will focus on current cancer screening guidelines and methods and why it’s vital to screen for breast, colon and cervical cancers.

Healthcare experts say preventive care is essential for overall health and well-being. It helps to keep you healthier to identify problems earlier, making them easier to treat.

A nurse from the Burlington Family Health Team will lead the discussion.
