An Oakville father of six is feeling lucky after winning the $100,000 Instant Crossword Tripler jackpot.

Perry Gale, who works in construction, said he’s been an occasional lottery player since he turned 18.

“This ticket was a random purchase,” he said while at the OLG Prize Centre in Toronto to pick up his winnings. “At first I thought I won $20 until my son checked my ticket. Everyone was so excited about the win.”

Perry’s been keeping the windfall secret from most people, outside his immediate family, and plans to put the winnings into his savings for a new home.

“I’m happy to be a winner.”

The winning ticket was purchased at Metro on North Service Road in Oakville.
