Machete-Wielding Oakville Man Charged With Arson

A 21-year-old Oakville man is facing charges after allegedly starting a fire then greeting police with a machete and mask.
A 21-year-old Oakville man is facing charges after allegedly starting a fire then greeting police with a machete and mask.
Halton police were sent to a call on Aug. 28 around 3 a.m. near Upper Middle Rd. and Dorval Dr. for a report of two trees on fire.
That’s where they found the masked suspect, armed with a 15-inch machete.
The man was safely arrested and booked in Oakville.
Darrian Wilson is charged with arson, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, disguise with intent, and mischief under $5,000.
