Man taken to trauma centre after being struck by vehicle in Milton

Around 3:55 p.m. on September 4, officers attended Main Street near Martin Street for reports of a pedestrian struck.

The victim, a 45 year old man, suffered a serious head injury and was transported by paramedics to the regional trauma centre in Hamilton.

Police say the driver of the vehicle, a 24 year old Milton woman, remained on scene and cooperated with police.

“Due to the nature of the injuries, the Collision Reconstruction Unit has assumed responsibility for the investigation,” said police. “Initial information would suggest that the vehicle was westbound on Main Street, west of Martin Street where the collision occurred.”
