There’s a new way to keep track of transit options in Oakville.

The Oakville Transit On-Demand mobile app has been launched. It will provide an even more convenient way for Home-to-Hub, care-A-van and Ride On-Demand customers to schedule a trip.

The Oakville Transit On-Demand app features include:

  • One tap booking – customers can set their favourite locations on the home screen to schedule a trip with one tap
  • Seat reservation – customers have the ability to reserve seats for other riders travelling with them
  • Live updates – customers can track where their on-demand vehicle is and when it will arrive

If you don’t have a smartphone, that’s not a problem. Customers can also book their trips through the web portal or by phone, using the interactive voice response system.

Oakville Transit’s current on-demand services include:

Home to Hub, which conveniently picks you up/drops you off at the end of your driveway to get you to and from the closest transit hub, where you can connect with regular fixed route transit service. The service is offered in select neighbourhoods in north and southeast Oakville.

Care-A-Van is a door-to-door specialized transit service for persons with disabilities. Anyone who is unable to use conventional transit due to their disability is eligible to apply for care-A-van service.

Ride On-Demand is a curb-to-curb shared ride service that enables you to travel from one address to another within the designated zone and to a transit hub in the same zone. This service was introduced as a pilot program in October 2022 in select areas of north and southeast Oakville.

With the introduction of Oakville Transit On-Demand mobile app, the previous Amble mobile app is now discontinued.
