People who want to explore Ontario by bus can hop on a FlixBus in Ottawa at night and arrive in Niagara Falls the next morning.

The new line, announced on July 24, is the first nighttime connection between Canada’s capital city and one of the country’s best-known tourist destinations.

In a news release, FlixBus, a North American intercity bus service that entered the Ontario market in 2022, said the bus will depart Ottawa daily at 11:59 pm and arrive in Niagara Falls at 7:40 am. The bus will stop in Kingston, Whitby-Oshawa (the bus will stop on Thickson Road alongside the Wendy’s/Tim Horton’s on Stellar Drive in Whitby), Scarborough, Toronto (Union Station), Mississauga, Hamilton and St. Catharines.

Tickets start at $43.99.

FlixBus also said it’s expanding its Ontario network with a new central stop in Mississauga at Square One and the first direct trips between Hamilton (McMaster University) and Niagara Falls.

The Hamilton-Niagara Falls line will provide daily service between the cities with a connection in St. Catharines. Niagara Falls-bound trips leave Hamilton at 6:25 a.m. and arrive by 7:40 a.m. Hamilton-bound trips will depart Niagara Falls daily at 9:30 pm and arrive by 10:40 p.m.

Tickets start at $12.99
