New spin studio in Oakville features a coffee lounge and singles’ mixers

Those looking to exercise, unwind and maybe meet someone special can now check out a place that fuses caffeine, endorphins and romance in Oakville.
FlySpin, a spin studio that’s also home to a coffee lounge, recently opened its doors in downtown Oakville (302 Lakeshore Rd. E.).
The studio, which opened in late March, offers patrons what it calls a “[redefined] spinning experience, merging high-intensity workouts with a sense of community that empowers and inspires.”
On its website, FlySpin says it offers elevated workouts that “seamlessly blend motivation and music,” certified instructors with “infectious energy,” premium bikes, an immersive atmosphere, personalized training plans and a range of classes focused on everything from endurance challenges to themed rides.
The studio also offers two things that are a little unique–a coffee lounge and mixers.

“Flyspin has a specialty coffee on the first floor, and we also serve organic smoothies,” a representative told inhalton.com on Instagram.

According to the studio’s website, the beverage menu includes macchiatos, cortados, Americanos, flat whites, cappuccinos and more.
The studio will also be hosting its inaugural Singles Mingle class on May 2, an event targeted towards people 40 and older who are looking to connect with other people on and off the bike.
“Forget swiping and typing – Downtown Oakville Singles Mingles are about real, face-to-face connections right here in the heart of Downtown. Dive into pop-up events, tailored for singles ready to meet in a laid-back setting,” the Downtown Oakville BIA wrote on Instagram.
The event, which will kick off at 5:30 p.m., will feature a class and an opportunity to meet other people in the cafe.
Another event is scheduled for May 16.
A FlySpin representative said the studio hopes to host singles events twice a month.
