Niagara Police, college partner up for Career Expo in Niagara-on-the-Lake

Niagara College and the Niagara Police are partnered up for a ride-along when they co-host the Niagara Police & Security Career Expo on Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will be held at the Niagara-on-the-Lake campus (135 Taylor Rd) with representatives from a sizeable 23 different law enforcement agencies and security firms from around the province on hand to promote their career opportunities.

“We are thrilled to have the Niagara Regional Police Service as our valued partner in hosting the Niagara Police & Security Career Expo,” said Carol Phillips, the college’s Dean of Community Services, Justice and Fitness Studies.

“This collaboration exemplifies our commitment to fostering community engagement and justice education at Niagara College. Together, we aim to inspire and empower the next generation of law enforcement and security professionals, equipping them with the skills and knowledge they need to make a positive impact in our community and beyond.”

Faculty and students from the College’s Advanced Law Enforcement and Investigations program in the School of Justice and Fitness will also be in attendance.

Keeping in mind that police forces are a combination of officers and civilians, the free expo will tell interested students how to pursue careers in:

  • Security Positions
