One person and pet dead after house fire in Oakville

There was a house fire in Oakville Saturday evening (March 18, 2023).

One person and a pet are dead after a fire in Oakville on Saturday evening.

The Oakville Fire Department and crews were called to a townhouse on Sixth Line, south of Upper Middle Road, around 6:30 pm.

When they arrived, firefighters were met with heavy fire and smoke.

There was another person transported to the hospital, and two dogs were located with injuries.

The cause and circumstances of the fire are unknown.
