Oshawa makes extra-marital dating site’s list for top cities for summer affairs

The weather is heating up and so are extra-marital affairs, according to an online dating service marketed to married people who have placed Oshawa 13th among the nation’s top 20 communities for summer affairs.
Ashley Madison, the controversial service started in 2001, has released its annual list of the top cities in the nation for infidelity and for those who enjoy ‘open’ relationships; especially in the hot summer months.
The company used their own sign-up data from June to September of last year to arrive at the rankings.
Oshawa was the only GTA city on the list, which was led by St. John’s, NL for the third year in a row, followed by Barrie, Fredericton, NB, Guelph and Kitchener-Waterloo.
“As one of the world’s most progressive countries, Canada is no stranger to the appeal of non-monogamy and more Canadians are exploring possibilities beyond the confines of monogamy,” the company said in a press release.
Neither Toronto nor Montreal made the list while Hamilton, like Oshawa a newcomer to the top 20, just made the cut at #20.
