Now that Burlington has entered Stage 3, more businesses have been permitted to reopen, and more facilities are reopening to the public.

Now that Burlington has entered Stage 3, more businesses have been permitted to reopen, and more facilities are reopening to the public.

One notable example is public parks—Burlington residents are once again permitted to use public parks. However, the City would like parents to be aware that the equipment is not being sanitized.

Additionally, the City is reminding residents that heightened safety measures, including staying home if sick, washing hands frequently, and not touching faces should be strictly followed.

Further, those utilizing public parks will be required to practice physical distancing from anyone not a part of their household or social circle.

Moreover, those who discover a park is already being used by a significant number of people are encouraged to try another location.

“We know parents and kids will be very excited for playground equipment to re-open and be added to the growing list of recreation services we are now able to offer. Thank you for your patience and for staying off the equipment until now and we’re looking forward to bringing more services back to residents,” Denise Beard, acting director of Recreation Services, said in a news release.
