Plenty of ways to vote in upcoming Milton byelection

The Milton byelection is less than two weeks away and now that the candidate list is finalized, early voting begins Sunday.

Elections Ontario has confirmed that advance voting will run from Sunday, April 21, to Friday, April 26.

For specific dates, times, and locations, visit their website. Voters can also cast their ballot in person at their returning office until 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 1, the day before the election.

Eligible voters who are on the Register should have already received their voter information card with information on when, where, and how to vote.

Voters who have not received their voter information card can still vote with an accepted piece of ID.

Here are the key dates for Milton voters:

  • Submit your application to vote by mail by 6 p.m. on April 26
  • Vote before election day at your returning office until May 1 at 6 p.m.
  • Vote at an advance voting location from April 21 to 26
  • Use assistive voting technology at your returning office or by appointment on election day
  • Vote on election day, May 2, from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Visit here for your assigned voting location

The political advertising blackout is May 1 and 2 and election surveys that have not previously been made public may not be published on election day.
