A public pond and popular restaurant in Burlington are reopening following a watermain break.

The City of Burlington recently announced that the watermain break at the Waterfront Centre has been repaired.

The Burlington Rotary Centennial Pond will re-open for free outdoor skating at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 19.

Spencer’s at the Waterfront was able to reopen today (Dec. 18) and will be open for both lunch and dinner.

The two locations were temporarily closed due to a watermain break that happened on Sunday, Dec. 15, 2019.

“We’re excited to have the Pond open again in time for the weekend and the holidays,” says Rob Axiak, manager of Recreation Services.

“Outdoor skating is a favourite, fun and healthy activity that everyone can enjoy.”
